Should you have any questions regarding this Privacy Policy or concerns with respect to Spa Savanna’s compliance with the requirements of PIPEDA, you may contact our Privacy Officer at info@spasavanna.com.
Identifying Purpose of Collection
Spa Savanna collects your personal information to provide Services to you. We collect information in two ways; first we collect membership information when you register for our Services and second, we collect information relating to your personal health.
1. If you tell us that you no longer wish to receive notices about our services, or about special offers related to our services, we will not send you any further material. Spa Savanna does not disclose your Membership Information to any third party to enable them to market their products and services to you. For example, we do not provide our client mailing lists to other companies offering similar Services or to suppliers of products and services related to our business.
2. With respect to Personal Health Information, we collect and use this information to (a) assess whether it appears that you have the basic level of health necessary to use the facilities, (b) identify any contraindications suggesting that you should not undertake certain activities, (c) identify any cardiovascular or respiratory health issues you may have prior to using the facilities, (d) identify whether you have any head or neck injuries that would increase your risk of injury during treatment, (e) identify whether you have any infectious diseases which may adversely affect our staff or other customers, (f) identify situations where the use of certain medications may potentially cause adverse effects in combination with certain of the services, (g) ensure that you are aware of the risks involved with the use of the facilities, (h)assist our staff or trained medical personnel in treating you should an injury occur, (i)contact your personal physician should it become necessary to do so in order to protect your health and the health of other customers, (j) ascertain whether or not you are pregnant, as some treatments may have adverse effects on your unborn child, and (k) to provide information to qualified medical personnel in the case of an emergency.
Spa Savanna does not disclose your Health Information to any third party to enable them to market their products and services to you. Your written consent will be required to release any Health Information, save and except where it is necessary to seek, arrange for or provide immediate medical attention.
While we do collect and use your Health Information for the above purposes, we are not responsible for ensuring that you have the requisite level of health to use the facilities or undertake any particular activity or treatment, nor do we provide medical advice or diagnosis.
