Q: What should I ask for when I book my appointment?
We offer an extensive menu of services with a description of the treatment and its therapeutic value. Please feel free to ask our staff any questions regarding our services.
Q: I have a preference regarding massage-therapists. Can I choose?
At the time of booking, express whether you prefer a male or female massage-therapist. Please note however that there is no difference in the quality of treatments given by a male or female massage therapist.
Q: What can I expect to pay?
Spa Savanna has something special for everyone. Just as you can find a hotel or restaurant at various price points, you can also find a spa experience in your price range and according to your requirements.
Q: What is a Health History Form and why do I need to fill it out?
If it is your first visit, you will be asked to complete a Health History Form which summarizes your current health picture. Prior to treatment, your therapist will review your health history with you to ensure that the treatment is most effective and safe. Thereafter, you need only update your health history if there are any changes.
Q: When should I arrive?
For leisurely enjoyment of your full treatment, please arrive at least 15-30 minutes before your scheduled time. By arriving early, you can also take advantage of our changing room and complimentary services: aromatherapy steam and showers, luxurious robes, sandals and towels. While these robes are fluffy and the slippers are comfy – they are not yours! Please leave them in the changing room. There are designated areas and baskets where you can discard them.
Q: What happens if I am late for my appointment?
If you are late, you will be charged for the entire session and will only be granted the remainder of the session.
Q. Does the Spa provide any amenities or should I bring my own items?
We provide robes, sandals, towels, as well as lockers in which to place your personal belongings. We also provide hair dryers, Sublime Savanna Body Wash, Lotion, Shampoo & Conditioner.
Q. When and/or how should I use the steam room?
It is best to use the steam room before a treatment, especially before a massage, as the heat allows the muscles to become more pliable to work and the pores of the skin open. Please read the notice on the steam doors before using. To start the steam, push the button on the inside of the room and while it fills with steam, enjoy a shower.
Q: What should I wear?
Spa Savanna will never compromise your modesty. Most often, you will be given a robe to change into before your treatment. Under the robe? It’s up to you. Each of our therapists is professionally trained in discreet linen draping techniques to ensure your comfort and ease at all times. During your treatment, the therapists will only expose the portion of your body that is being treated at the time.
THAI-YOGA MASSAGE - Bring loose comfortable clothing like a T-shirt and yoga pants.
For ACCUPRESSURE and CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY please come dressed or bring loose comfortable clothing you can change into.
Q: Any other pre-treatment tips?
• Spa Savanna has a delightful aromatic steam room for your pre-treatment relaxation. If you are unsure if you may use the steam room, just ask our spa staff.
• Shower fresh. To allow products to absorb well, it is recommended that you take a brief shower at the spa before your treatment.
• Spas are meant to be relaxing and quiet. Cell phones, pagers and loud conversations are not appropriate. Leave your cell phones or PDAs in your locker or at home. This is your time to be away from outside distractions.
• Spa Savanna is co-ed, but offer separate changing facilities for men and women.
• Water and Herbal Tea are provided in our lounge.
